Tamarindo Beach might be the beach we visit most frequently since it's the most swimmable beach close to us. We're staying at Playa Langosta, where the waves are a little intense until you walk all the way down to the estuary. Playa Tamarindo, however, is only a 10-15 minute walk dow the street.
The sand at Playa Tamarindo is nice and smooth, not rocky. The waves are good for beginner surfers. It's been fun to watch the surfers try to catch them while we're bobbing around just past the break. This is the beach we head to after we're done working for the day. We'll hang out here for an hour or so and then go catch the sunset at Playa Langosta.
