Paris is Always a Good Idea
Ooh La La!
This Parisian themed card is one of a kind just for my niece. She is 8 and around the time of her birthday she had a growing interest in a Paris aesthetic. This is not surprising considering her Auntie (it me!) has been obsessed with the City of Love since forever.
The card background starts with a base of Distress Oxide in Spun Sugar, and then includes Distress Ink Picked Raspberry and Wilted Violet over a stencil. I stamped the flourishes using Palette Noir, and cut the Eiffel Tower and the sentiment from gold glitter paper on the Silhouette Cameo 4.
Have a Dino-mite Birthday!
What 5 year old boy doesn't go crazy for dinosaurs? My nephew certainly loves them, and his favorite is the velociraptor. It took a little bit of hunting to find the right cut file for the Silhouette Cameo 4, but this layered cut file is just perfect. The card background is a panel cut from a Recollections paper pack, and the sentiment is print with an offset to cut using the Silhouette.
I find making masculine cards to be such a challenge, but I love trying!
